Arthroscopic Debridement
This segment includes rehab for arthroscopic labral debridement, capsular release +/- manipulation, distal clavicle excision and subacromial decompression.
1-14 days: Sling for comfort only. Ice three times daily. Active and passive ROM as tolerated. Formal PT for ROM to begin first week postop for capsular release. Keep incisions covered. NSAIDs encouraged for pain and inflammation control.
2-6 weeks: Alternate ice and heat. Formal PT for ROM and periscapular strengthening. May begin driving if not on narcotics
6-12 weeks: Return to activities as ROM and pain allow.
