Elbow Ligament injury
Ulnar collateral injuryDamage to the ulnar collateral ligament is unfortunately all to common in high level pitchers. The next group with the highest prevalence of UCL injury is javalin throwers. Reconstruction of this ligament in non-pitchers is usually not necessary unless there is functional instability of the elbow

LUCL InjuryThis ligament is most often injured traumatically in simple elbow dislocation or elbow fracture dislocation. Occasionally it is injured iatrogenically with lateral epicondylar debridement or lateral epicondylar injection. In the setting of fracture/dislocation, LUCL repair and bone repair obtains stability. In chronic conditions of instability, reconstruction may be necessary.
