Shoulder Fractures
Proximal HumerusThis is a fracture of the ball of the humerus. Many fractures can be treated without surgery, but some require fixing with a plate and screws or even a joint replacement surgery. Regardless of treatment, shoulder stiffness is very common.

Clavicle (collar bone)Historically, all but the most severe fractures were treated without surgery. Some studies indicate that certain factors of fracture pattern and displacement may respond better to fixation with plate and screws or intramedullary nail.

ScapulaFractures of the shoulder blade are not common. Most will not require surgery unless they involve the shoulder joint.
