Labral Repair, Latarjet and tibial plafond allograft
Labral repairs will most commonly be done arthroscopically. Bone block procedures will be done open. No NSAIDs for 4-6 weeks. No nicotine products.
1-14 days: Sling at all times. Ice three times daily, 20 minutes at a time. Sponge bath only, keep dressing intact. ROM hand, wrist and elbow several times daily
2-6 weeks: Sling most of the time, may remove when sitting at rest. Gentle pendulums and table slides, no ER past 30 degrees. Continue ice.
5-12 weeks: Discontinue sling. May begin driving. Initiate directed PT to focus on restoration of ROM. Gentle rotator cuff and periscapular strengthening.
12-20 weeks: Continue to increase strength. Initiate sport specific strength training and a throwing program. Avoid abducted external rotation activities.
5+ months: Normalize ROM and strength. May implement Abd/ER exercises like chest flys, shoulder press, etc. May return to contact sport.
